Went to Kuala Kubu Baru (Grade I - IV whitewater rapids) for water rafting last year. Paulina, Eric and myself are pretty excited and at the mean time, both Paulina and myself are very nervous about it - simply because both of us can't swim and we keep wondering what will happen if we were to be thrown out from the raft during the rafting sessions. It was a great experience for us. We completed the 3 hours rafting without any injuries and most importantly, we were not thrown out from the raft! ^o^
It was a half day trip with buffet lunch provided at the end of the rafting session. Before we start our journey, on-the-ground training was provided by the guides on the simple / basic instructions to follow during the rafting sessions. We were also briefed on what we should do if 'unpleasant moments' (fall from the raft etc) happened. This really make us MORE NERVOUS...
The journey begins...
Each raft will cater 6 guests with one guide...
Too many rocks surrounding us...
Free time where we are allowed to swim freely with our life jacket...
Group photo with all the cheerful faces...
Waiting for our turn...
Enjoyable moments...
Relaxing moments...
The nervous moments begin...
Ooops... Someone fell from the raft!!
One of the 'long excited-cum-nervous journey'...
Ouch! Hit the rock...
