Kensington - The Western Restaurant in Era Square, Seremban

Another western restaurant located in Seremban (Era Square). They do have another outlet in Oakland (HQ). If you know the way to Min Kok Dim Sum and the new MBO Cineplex at Terminal 2, then you should be able to find Kensington at Era Square.

Went there with Bf two years ago for a casual dinner. The food was good and same goes to the price.. ha ha.. It was a little pricey compared to FireWorkz. Kensington is more on a high end and FireWorkz is more affordable.

simple yet elegant decor

appetizers for us

entrees for him. missed out my entrees' picture :-(

Bf was too busy with his meal and don't even bother to look at the camera... ha ha...

the meal was just too yummy.. finished up everything... :-)

dessert for us - forgot the name

here it comes the end of our dinner..

And is time to pay for the bill. Spent about RM100 for the whole meal.. but we will definitely come back again !

Sunglasses : Oakley Grapevine

I bought my very first Sunglasses this year!

I had one previously which was a gift from my brother who brought it from US. But somehow it was not the right fit for me because the sunglasses tend to slide down on my 'flat' nose bridge. It other word, it doesn't 'sit' well on my nose... We are Asian, unlike those mat salleh that have sharp features and high nose bridge.. :-p

And there is why in the world of optical, there are terms called ''European Fit' and 'Asian Fit'. Those branded sunglasses such as Gucci, Emporio Armani, Boss, Bolle et cetera are all in European Fit but Oakley Sunglasses do have the Asian Fit range. :-)

Since both me and my sis-in-law have plan to get a sunglasses (she dropped her previous one at the 'Floating Market' in Thailand last year), we have decided to go together. Sometimes it is better to have another person to tag along with you and to provide some opinions rather than you yourself spending hours looking at the mirror and talking to yourself !

I tried all sorts of glasses there (Gucci, Coach, Emporio Armani and so on lar...), yet I can't find the right fit for myself... arghhhh... so frustrating !! With a very little budget, I know for sure that I don't have much choices to look for :-( but who doesn't want to get an affordable yet trendy specky. AND the worst thing was - the shop assistant also started to lost her patience servicing us ! ha ha ha... She has been moving around the whole shop just to get the right frame that suit us but ALL were rejected by us...

Since both of us couldn't find our right choice, we left the shop disappointing the shop assistant (sorry my dear for all the times you spent on us... ^_^).

While heading for our dinner at Ikano (together with bf and brother), we passed by Focus Point located on the 1st Floor at Ikano and saw their bunting stand for SALES of up to 50%. The ' percentage ' really attracted us to enter their shop and surprisingly, they even have more choices within the same brands Optical 88 is displaying. Most importantly, I saw OAKLEY at their entrance. They are mostly known for the high end sunglasses. I had a chance to try out few of the glasses and it was like "This is the one! I like it!! I really love it!"

I have planned to make another trip to Focus Point again within the same week to have ample time to try out the right choice for me.. and this time round, I only focused on OAKLEY - Asian Fit range :-). Once I put in again on my face, I was like 'wow !! This is what I have been looking for my sunglasses - plastic frame, lightweight, reliable, durable, sporty, fashionable and very COMFORTABLE. Without considering much, I purchased the 'Oakley Grapevine' (as shown below). But the bad news was - I am not getting the 50% off since Oakley is a 'controlled item' according to the shop assistant...

Me in my brand new sunglasses.. ^_^

So after viewing the above picture, what do you think about the new sunglasses on me??

Foundation: Compact Powder - Bobbi Brown vs Dior vs Estee vs Shiseido

I am neither a make-up artist nor a heavy make-up user. But when the times come, you just have to make yourself a little bit more pleasant or perhaps a more presentable look so that you are 'notice-able' in the society...

I have been spending a lot of times doing research for the make-up foundation - which brand should I get, what type of foundation should I go for, which one is suitable for my skin and et cetera - from viewing the 'forums' on the internet till the extend of 'online chat with the artist'. It was very tiring (trust me) when you found out there is a long list of forums that you need to go through just to get an insight of their products details. You know lar.. you need to know how long will it last (whole day?) on your face, what is the coverage (full, medium, light) and so on. Furthermore, by going through their website and visit to their counter, you will only be able to view the benefits / advantages of their products rather than the 'hidden info' that we can get from the direct users via forums or bloggers.

So after asking around, I started to focus on few brands:-
a) Bobbi Brown - popular for their natural look
b) Estee Lauder - known as the the giant of the prestige-cosmetics world, who owned other popular brands in the world such as BB, MAC, Tommy Hilfiger, Clinique, Coach et cetera
c) Dior - high end designer appeal and famous with their lip gloss
d) Shiseido - always looks good on asian skin since the founder was from Japan

I have been using Shiseido's skincare (will have another write-up on skincare later...) and also their make-up products. But somehow I feel it is time for me to change to another brand since they are so many of varieties in the market now. I have tried their compact powder in the following range:-
a) Pureness Matifying Compact Oil-Free - for oily skin, which was very good that provides a sheer matte finish while minimizing the visibility of pores. The coverage was just nice and I will consider it as light coverage without looking cakey on your face.
b) Supplist Poreless Foundation - a better coverage for pores that gives it a refined, poreless look. Medium coverage.

I am looking for the following criterias in picking up the right choice for my brand new compact powder - natural & poreless look, long wear, medium coverage, non-comedogenic, non-acnegenic and great for combination skin. Choices as below (all below RM200):-

After giving it a long thought, I have decided to purchase both Bobbi and Diorskin:-
a) Bobbi * - 2 steps of applying. Cream Compact Foundation + Pressed Powder
b) Diorskin - 1 step of applying. Therefore an alternative to Bobbi for woman on the go
c) Estee - a turned down for me because of the packaging, which was not as sleek as Diorskin

* Bobbi Brown's Price List --> Bobbi Brown Make-Up Product Prices in RM

Review on the purchased products - both met my criterias as stated above and I'm pretty happy with both my brand new compact powder.
a) Bobbi looks more natural than Diorskin
b) Diorskin is more convenient to apply compared to Bobbi

So readers, you have to make your own decision on what matter you most.

Craving for FOOD

Always Craving for FOOD !!! Yummy Foods...

This is me.. ha ha ha.. People who know me is aware about this and you will believe it when you see me in person. The 'size' will tells you everything :-) That is why the profile photo only displayed my face.. :-p

I used to travel a lot (within Penisular Malaysia) when I was small and has been eating / tasting / smelling types of food from the road-side to restaurant to hotel and so on. So my write-up about JUST FOODS will be up soon....

Can I be a Blogger??

Everyone is talking about blogging since you can have all the freedom to pen down whatever you feel like writing and share your point of view about anything in the world... It is just like a place for you to shout out when you get pissed off or a place for you to share your happiness. It seems to be easy but can I get it continue going (as a blogger, if I'm qualified... ha ha) as I always think that I am not good at all in writing and I hate doing essay during schooling time! And my English sucks, all the time having grammar errors. Even one my of ex-boss suggested that I should attend an English Course!! sob sob...

So would I be able to continue blogging after my first posting?
